CITY ESCAPE - FAMILY FUN - ANIMALS - NATURE - AFTER CORONA LOCKDOWN ACTIVITY
Now that the lockdown in Moscow has been loosened, you can finally do day trips with the whole family again. The big question is just, where to? Recently we visited the deer farm in L'vovo and found that it is a great trip for the whole family! You can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the beautiful nature and its lots of fun for the little ones, as they can feed and pet the animals on site.
L'vovo is located about 140km from Moscow's city centre and it takes about 1.5 hours to get there, depending on the traffic situation.
Just before arriving at the site, you can already see from far away the large meadow and the animals. The parking lot is directly in front of the fish and deer farm, which you enter through a large wooden gate. Directly behind the entrance you will see on the left side a small ticket office, the tickets for the deer farm you costs 200rub per person.
From here you walk along the lake, where all the fishermen are sitting, to the paddock of the animals. Once you arrive at the pasture, you will receive food in exchange for the tickets and can enter the enclosure.
The deers are a little shy, but if you stay still they do eat out of the hand. The goats can be a bit more wild and you can even pet them. All animals have babies which is really very sweet.
If you've had enough of feeding animals and don't want to go home right away. You can either simply take a walk around the lake and enjoy the beautiful nature, or you can rent one of the wooden cabins with its own jetty to have a picnic and/or go fishing. The wooden cabins are simply furnished, have their own barbecue, two beds, a fridge and a small oven. They are actually intended for spending the night there, which we have not yet tried out. If you want to fish, you can rent equipment on site and pay only for the number of people fishing, children under 16 years do not have to pay anything.
The wooden huts should be booked in advance, as they are very popular and therefore often fully booked. The hut is always rented for 23h from 12:00 until 11:00 the next day. From Sunday to Friday you pay RUB 2500 per house and from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays you pay RUB 3000 per house.
The farm is open from 9:00 to 16:00.
