Restaurants with playroom - top 10

Updated: Feb 25, 2020

Restaurants with a nice kids playroom might be the best invention ever :) This makes going out for dinner fun&relaxed for everyone. Here we will we list our favorites where it doesn't feel like you're dining in a kids entertainment park, but where a nice restaurant just happens to have a good playroom that will keep your kids happy for a while.

Is your favorite not listed? Let us know on!

1- Valenok

Valenok has the best indoor kids area we know, but only during the day on weekends when they turn their stage in to a play area with babysitters. On their beautiful terrace they also have a small play area for the little ones.

Location: Tsvetnoy Bulvar

2- Elardji

Elardji is a Georgian restaurant in Arbat and they have a nice outdoor terrace with some small farm animals. Perfect to keep the little ones happy during a dinner or lunch. And a perfect quiet, cozy summer setting.

Location: Arbat

3- The Littles

This place is very well designed and has a calm atmosphere and creative play areas surrounding the restaurant. They have lovely "nannies" that help look after your children, but honestly this is not even needed as the the place is perfectly designed so they play around you and they're always in sight. The restaurant offers a high quality and affordable menu.

Location: Sergey Makeeva 9/1

4- Food Mama

This new family restaurant with a play area at Aviapark is an ideal place to go if you want to enjoy a good meal without the stress of having bored children. The light and spacious restaurant has a space for a moderately sized play area and a Sony Playstation area. Depending on your children's age you can choose a table close to the playground or a little bit further away which is definitely more quiet. There is a nanny on duty during weekdays and animators will entertain your little ones during weekends.

Location: 4th floor Aviapark Shopping Mall, Hodinskiy Bulvar 2

5- The Sad

The Sad has high quality food and a spacious creative playroom for kids. The interior feels like you're in a garden. The only downside is that it can be quite quiet, especially for lunch.

Location: Yakimanskaya Ulitsa 4/1, close to Red October island

6- Russki

On the 84th floor, this restaurant has a beautiful view over Moscow. The food is Russian with a modern twist. Drinking Vodka and eating caviar while wearing a fur coat in the ice bar is a true experience for you and your visitors. And best of all, they have a very fun playroom for the kids with entertainers!

Location: Moscow City

7- Bocconcino

Bocconcino is a decent Italian restaurant chain with multiple locations. The kids area's vary in style, but the one on Kutozovsky is the one shown in this picture.

Location: KutozovskyProspect 57 (in shopping center Okeania 4th floor)

8- Chaichona #1

Although Chaihona is a chain and you will see one in every street in Moscow, it's not a bad option for dinner with kids. They have decent food, colorful interior and always a play area for kids. The one on Tverskaya 24 is especially suitable for long term entertainment.

Location: Tverskaya Ulitsa 24

9- Da Pino

This is not the best Italian in town, but they offer decent pizza's and pasta's. The main reason to go here is it's major playroom with babysitters. The downside is that the room is really separate, so not all kids like to play there independently. Check out their multiple locations.

Location: Bolshaya Bronnaya 23/1, Patriarchy Pond

10- Anderson cafe

Anderson is really a kids cafe where everything, including the menu, is suitable for kids. The food is actually quite tasty, for both adults and kids. The outside play area (especially near Sokol) is great for the kids! Inside they have a playroom with a nanny. It is in a separate area than where you eat, so you have to be fine with "dropping" your kids.

Location: 3 locations

11- Zharovnya (Central Detski Mir)

This is the only restaurant in the Central Detski Mir mall. It's located in a corner behind the food court on the 6th floor. They have a small play area where kids up to 6 can enjoy themselves with building large lego blocks. They advertise entertainers and kids masterclasses on the weekends, but when we were here they didn't offer this. Don't go here just for the restaurant, but if you are in the mall and want proper food it's the best place to go here!
